Cleveland.com – For the first time, a University Heights state-of-the-city address was delivered virtually, and Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan, in that speech delivered Thursday (March 18) hit on the various aspects of a difficult 2020, but also optimistically spoke of the city coming alive once more this summer.
After urging residents to wear masks to help further reduce the spreading of COVID, Brennan declared, “Summer is back!” He spoke of the pool at Purvis Park reopening Memorial Day, May 31, and of the return of the city’s Summer Concert Series, canceled last summer, and set to get under way this year July 1with a concert by the University Heights Symphonic Band at John Carroll University.
