Seeking Opportunity

When he first ran for mayor in 2017, Michael said the city government left too many opportunities on the table. Economic development was something that happened to us, not something the city actively sought.

Early in his first term, Michael hired the city’s first ever economic development director. Working with her, things are happening in University Heights. For the first time in decades, new homes are being built in our city. Beautiful new townhomes are set to be built this year. And finally, economic development is coming to University Square. And we’re just getting started.
